Volume Lash Fill
Volume lashes are the most dramatic and high-maintenance lash style — and they reward clients who stay on schedule.
As natural lashes shed their cycle, entire fans drop with them — leaving visible gaps and uneven density that only a skilled fill can properly restore. A volume fill rebuilds those fans from scratch, matching the curl, spread and weight of your existing set so the finished result looks cohesive, full and intentional.
We fill volume extensions applied at any salon — not just Chula.
What's included:
- Removal of grown-out, twisted or collapsed fans
- Fresh handcrafted fans applied to new lash growth
- Density, symmetry and curl check across the full set
- Health Canada compliant adhesive
- Available in English or Spanish
Why Volume Fills Require the Most Skill
Of the three fill types — Classic, Hybrid and Volume — a volume fill is the most technically demanding. Here's why:
Every fan is handcrafted from scratch.
Unlike classic extensions which are pre-made, volume fans are built during the appointment — each one requiring 2 to 6 individual extensions to be manually fanned and placed on a single natural lash. During a fill, new fans must match the spread, curl and density of the ones already in place, otherwise the set looks inconsistent.
Gaps are more visible.
Because volume lashes create such high density, a missing fan is far more noticeable than a missing classic extension.
Precision matters more.
More extensions means more assessment time. Before any new fans go on, your technician reviews the full set — removing fans that have twisted, collapsed or grown out at an angle that would compromise lash health.
At Chula, every volume fill is treated with the same level of care and detail as a full set.
Fill or Full New Set — Which Do You Need?
A volume fill requires at least 40% of your extensions still in place. Below that threshold, the density gaps are too significant for a fill to give you even, full coverage.
Book a full volume set if:
- Less than 40% of your extensions remain
- It's been more than 4–5 weeks since your last visit
- Your fans have largely collapsed or lost their shape
- You're switching from Classic or Hybrid to Volume

How Often Should You Book a Volume Lash Fill?
Every 2–3 weeks is the standard — but volume clients who want consistently maximum density often prefer every 2 weeks.
Every 2 weeks
The set stays at peak fullness at all times. Ideal for clients who wear volume lashes daily or for work and want no visible shedding.
Every 3 weeks
Still maintains a beautiful, full look. You may notice slightly less density in the final days before your appointment, but the overall impact is still significant.
Beyond 3 weeks
Fan loss becomes substantial. Volume sets drop below the 40% threshold faster than classic or hybrid because each shed natural lash takes an entire fan with it — not just one extension.
Staying on schedule protects both the look and the health of your natural lashes.
Aftercare — Protect Your Volume Investment
Volume lashes require the same aftercare as any extension — but with one extra priority: keeping the fans fluffy and open.
- Keep lashes completely dry for 24 hours
- Avoid steam, saunas and swimming for 24 hours
- Brush fans daily with a clean spoolie — this is especially important for volume. Brushing keeps fans open and prevents them from clumping or closing at the tips
- Cleanse with a lash-safe foam cleanser 2-3 times per week — product and oil buildup at the base collapses fans over time
- Avoid all oil-based products near the lash line
- Sleep on your back or on a silk pillowcase
- Never rub, pull or pick at extensions
